Traders and customers alike got into the birthday spirit on Saturday 7th July as Blackburn Market celebrated its first anniversary at its new home.
The Mayor of Blackburn, Councillor Zamir Khan, was also in attendance to cut the birthday cake.
Coinciding with the first Saturday of free parking on council car parks in the town centre, the Market celebrated with a 'guess the weight of the cake' competition, free birthday cake and a birthday balloon giveaway.
Keith Holden, Blackburn Market Manager, said: "It's great to see families and friends enjoying the birthday celebrations on the market, and tucking into our delicious birthday cake.
"A number of the traders have offered special deals to customers to celebrate the milestone, and we are already looking forward to our second birthday!"
