Service Yard Protocol
- These requirements will be read in conjunction with the Market Management Regulations and occupation agreement.
- The whole of the service yard will be subject to control of TMF (The Mall fund) with the exception of the dedicated area demised to the Market (as shown on the attached plan) which will be subject to day to day control by the Market Manager.
- Deliveries to the market will take place via the Church Street Service entrance only. Both the non-dedicated Markets area and the dedicated Markets areas are to be used dependant upon their availability.
- Access for deliveries will be allowed 6a.m – 7p.m. Outside these hours any access for delivery or service vehicles may incur a security charge for opening-up and closing-down.
- The Market Manager will restrict the stay of delivery vehicles to a maximum of 30 minutes, and the parking of other vehicles other than those specifically necessary for the servicing of the premises will not be allowed on site.
- No smoking or transfer of fuel will be allowed in the service yard.
- The Market Manager shall supply and maintain a “Paka-waste PSL75” (or similar) static waste compactor and box within the dedicated area for the exclusive use of the market traders.
- The Market Manager shall supply and maintain suitable enclosed box container or cage for the storage prior to collection of the bailed cardboard output from the market operation.
- Suitable receptacles for the collection of recyclable materials arising from the markets operations may be sited within the dedicated area.
- The Market Manager shall supply and maintain an adequate number of euro-bins within the dedicated area for the use of the market traders. Such bins or receptacles to be cleaned by Market staff as required.
- The Market Manager will require all market traders involved in the sale of animal products to enter into their own waste disposal arrangements with suitably licensed contractors and to evidence the same. Such waste to be stored prior to collection either within trader’s stall or a refrigerated room specifically provided for this purpose within the Market’s demises and off the dedicated area.
- Security of the service yard will be the responsibility of TMF.
- TMF will install and maintain all lighting, extract, wash down, drainage, fire alarm and sprinkler installations within the service yard.
- The Markets Manager shall ensure that the dedicated area is adequately cleaned and washed down at the end of each trading day or as required and that all reasonable precautions to prevent the blockage or pollution of drains and drainage systems will be maintained.
- Access to the dedicated area outside the normal operating hours of 6-00am to 7-00pm will be available to Market traders & Markets Management only from the Markets demise.
